Chesapeake
Bay Photos was started in January of 2000 as a sister site of TheBayGuide.com.
In 2001 we had enough traffic and photos that we had to move to a new server.
We currently have over 1000 images online, with another 500 not yet put
into the site.
This
year we have purchased a new boat for our ever growing fleet to expand
our on the water photography business, a 2006 Sea Hunt 232 Triton Center
Console. We purchased this boat from All
Star Marine on Middle River.
 |
Our
new 2006 232 Sea Hunt is powered by a Yamaha 225 hp outboard engine.
With the Captain & photogrpaher on board this boat can sustain speeds
up to 45 knots enabling us to get those perfect high speed action shots.
The low fuel consumption of the 4 stroke engine helps keep our costs down. |
In
Baltimore's Inner Harbor you can also look for us in our 9' Water Tender.
This small craft allows us to get into some tight spaces so we can always
get the best picture. Our new 23' Sea Hunt will also be used in the
Inner Harbor as well as out into the Middle Chesapeake Bay area.
For
our long range trips we cruise in our 99 351 Silverton Sedan which has
a tender so no matter what the circumstance we have the right boat to get
that perfect shot.
All
of our photography equipment is the latest digital gear from Sony.
From the new 10.2 mega-pixel alpha DSLR camera and lenses to Sony's newsest
point and shoot, the 10.1 mega-pixel NS-1. Our new alpha DSLR has
built in image stabilization so even in bumpy chop we can get a great shot.
For
all appointment shoots we use our DSLR gear. All of our Sony gear
is maintained to the highest standards. From routine cleaning to
in shop preventative maintenacne. We want all of our pictures, and
yours, to look their best. Our NS-1 camera is used in situations
where the captain can handle a camera, like when we're drifting and shooting.
This allows us to get the same shot from different angles and zooms.
All this adds up to more pictures for you, and more options for printing
as well.
Look
for us out on the Chesapeake Bay and say Hi. Most weekends you can
find us in the Middle Bay area, our home port is Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
